About The Role
An excellent prospect has arisen for a motivated Payroll Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join a well-established global engineering and infrastructure business.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers a unique blend of payroll, financial accounting and management reporting responsibilities, providing exposure across the broader finance function.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of payroll while also wanting to develop their accounting and reporting skills within a team-oriented and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
End-to-end processing of monthly payroll for 100+ employeesProcessing salary increases, bonuses, terminations and leave adjustmentsSuperannuation reconciliations and paymentsMaintaining employee records and payroll data integrityEnsuring compliance with all relevant legislative requirementsPreparing payroll reports and analysis as required
Finance & Accounting




Assisting with month-end close activitiesBalance sheet and general ledger reconciliationsCorporate card and expense reconciliationsIntercompany reconciliationsAssisting with monthly management reportingCash flow forecasting supportAudit and statutory reporting assistanceAd hoc financial analysis and project work
About You
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related disciplineCA/CPA qualified or currently studyingPrevious experience in payroll and accounting within a commercial environmentStrong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systemsExcellent attention to detail and analytical capabilityStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities
