Redpath Partners are working with a leading hospitality group with a large and diverse portfolio of venues across Australia who is seeking an experienced Pre Construction Manager to join its Melbourne-based team.Opportunity to grow with a well-established and expanding hospitality group.Newly created position client-side.With a robust and growing development pipeline, this role offers the opportunity to work client-side across a wide range of refurbishment and new-build hospitality projects with values ranging from $1.5m - $17.5m.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded cost planner, estimator, or quantity surveyor who enjoys working from early concept through to delivery and wants exposure to multiple projects in a rapid-paced, design-led setting.The RoleReporting to senior leaders across Development and Construction Delivery, you will support projects from early feasibility through to detailed design, providing accurate and timely cost planning across a diverse development portfolio.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external design teams, helping shape project scope, feasibility and cost certainty across multiple concurrent projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost plans at concept,
schematic and detailed design stagesUndertake accurate take-offs from drawings using CostXInterpret project briefs and design information to price works accuratelyProvide early-stage cost advice prior to market testingBuild and maintain an internal cost plan rate library from live and completed projectsAssist with tender analysis and pricing reviewsClearly communicate cost plans, assumptions and risks to non-technical stakeholdersAbout You5+ years' experience in cost planning, quantity surveying or estimatingBackground in builder-side estimating, consultancy QS or client-side cost managementStrong capability working with early-stage or incomplete informationCommercially minded with a practical, solutions-focused approachConfident communicator comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholdersHighly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience in hospitality, retail or commercial fit-out projects is advantageous but not essential.QualificationsDegree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar preferredEquivalent industry experience highly regardedAIQS or RICS membership desirable but not essential
