Mimosa Kids Preschool and Early Learning Centre, located within the grounds of Mimosa Public School, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Trainee, Certificate III and/or Diploma Qualified Educator to join our well-established, friendly team.

We proudly provide education and care for children aged 18 months to Preschool, creating a warm, nurturing and engaging environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to thrive.

As an independently owned and family-run Centre with over 40 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care, we are proud of the knowledge, experience and commitment our team brings to our Centre each day. We believe in building strong relationships with children and families and helping children grow into confident, capable and happy individuals who can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider society.

Mandatory Child Safety Requirements





Successful applicants must demonstrate a genuine commitment to child safety and have, or be willing to obtain:

- A current Working With Children Check, where applicable.
- Completion of the National Child Safety Foundation Training through the Geccko platform, or willingness to complete this prior to commencement.
- A genuine commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for every child.
- A willingness to participate in all required child safety screening, induction and ongoing professional learning.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory child safety screening and relevant employment checks.

Your Responsibilities

Working as part of our dedicated team, you will:

- Assist in the implementation of a high-quality educational program for children.
- Implement the room routine and Centre procedures in collaboration with other educators.
- Develop and implement learning experiences based on your knowledge of each child, their interests, strengths and individual goals, using the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Observe, assess and reflect on children’s learning and development and contribute to the ongoing program cycle.
- Build positive, respectful and meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Create a strong sense of belonging for children, families and educators.
- Support the daily routines, transitions, experiences and activities within the Centre.
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene and child protection procedures.
- Contribute positively to the Centre’s team culture and collaborative environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training and learning opportunities.

Trainee Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

- Has a valid Working With Children Check, or is willing to obtain one where applicable.




- Is motivated and committed to completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Has a genuine passion for working with and supporting young children.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can work collaboratively and positively as part of a team.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Is committed to providing high-quality education and care.
- Has full working rights in Australia.

Previous experience in early childhood is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.

Certificate III / Diploma Requirements

Applicants must have:

- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- A valid Working With Children Check.
- A valid First Aid Certificate and CPR.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively and respectfully within a team.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality education and care.
- Full working rights in Australia.
