About the roleFlowcrete Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Trade Assistant / Assembly Fitter to join our manufacturing team on a full-time basis at our facility in Mount Kuring-Gai, NSW.
This role is pivotal to our production operations, where you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and preparing products for the production team.
You will work within our assembly and process work environment, contributing directly to the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on position that offers the opportunity to develop practical skills whilst working with a dedicated team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key responsibilitiesAssembling and fitting components according to specifications and work instructionsPreparing products for quality control inspection and packagingOperating hand tools and light machinery as required for assembly tasksFollowing safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work areaMonitoring work for defects or inconsistencies and reporting issues to supervisorsSupporting experienced tradespeople and technicians on assigned projectsContributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly departmentAssisting with inventory management and stock rotationMaintaining accurate records of production activities as required
What we're looking forProven experience in similar work, manufacturing or a related trade environmentProficiency with hand tools and basic mechanical assembly techniquesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsAbility to follow technical drawings, specifications and work instructions accuratelyGood physical fitness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended periodsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsReliability and a strong work ethicA current full driving licence would be advantageousRelevant trade qualifications or certifications in assembly or fitting work preferredExperience with quality control processes and safety compliance
