Gee Transport Services is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our workshop in Morwell.
This is a full time position where you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, diagnosing and repairing a variety of motor vehicles to the highest standards.
As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently, directly contributing to the reliability and reputation of our transport services.
This hands‐on role offers the opportunity to work with diverse vehicles and up-to-date diagnostic equipment in a professional workshop setting.Key responsibilitiesPerform routine servicing and maintenance on motor vehicles including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and inspectionsDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipmentRepair and replace faulty components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems,



brakes and electrical systemsConduct vehicle safety inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problemsMaintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completedAdhere to all workshop safety procedures, regulations and company policiesCommunicate effectively with supervisors and drivers regarding vehicle status and repair requirementsMaintain a clean and organized workshop environmentAssist in training and mentoring junior workshop staff where applicableWhat we're looking forProven experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair across a range of vehicle typesStrong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes and electrical systemsCompetency in using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop machineryUnderstanding of relevant safety standards and workshop regulationsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailReliability and commitment to delivering quality workmanshipCurrent driver's licenceExperience with Mercedes Benz Sprinters and Ford Transit Vans is advantageous
