About the Organisation
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation delivering employment, training, and community services across New South Wales. With a long-standing reputation for supporting individuals into sustainable employment, they work closely with employers, education providers, and community organisations to create meaningful opportunities for people facing barriers to work.
Driven by community impact and positive outcomes, the organisation provides supportive, person-centred services that empower participants to build confidence, develop employability skills, and achieve long-term success.
As part of its continued growth strategy, the organisation is investing in the expansion of its internal allied health capability. This is an exciting opportunity to join at the beginning of that journey and play a key role in establishing and shaping a psychology service.
About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Psychologist to join this developing internal allied health function as its first dedicated psychology practitioner.
Based primarily across Sydney’s South West, with Fairfield, Campbelltown and Liverpool as the key locations, you will provide psychological assessments, evidence-based interventions and practical support to participants through a combination of individual and group sessions.
Working closely with internal Employment Consultants and other stakeholders, you will support participants referred directly into the service, with appointments coordinated and booked into your diary. Service delivery will include a mix of in-person appointments and telehealth/video consultations, with occasional travel to other locations as the function expands.
Importantly, this is not simply a high-volume clinical delivery role. The initial focus is on establishing a high-quality,
participant-centred service and creating strong foundations for future growth. Alongside delivering direct support, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of systems, resources, processes and the broader service delivery model.
You will work closely with senior leaders and an experienced psychology qualified who is supporting the development of the internal model, giving you genuine scope to influence how the service evolves while making a meaningful contribution to participant outcomes.
The longer-term vision is to grow the psychology function organically, with the potential to develop into a broader national service. This creates a unique opportunity for a Psychologist who enjoys clinical work but is also motivated by the prospect of helping shape and build a service from the ground up.
