Are you a hands-on Chef with solid kitchen experience, strong prep and cooking skills, and the confidence to take charge when required?
We’re looking for a reliable Second Chef to join a close-knit team in Remote Tasmania, working alongside the Head Chef to deliver quality meals in a truly peaceful wilderness setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys working as part of a small team, taking direction, staying organised and maintaining high kitchen standards — with the added benefit of a role that counts towards a Working Holiday Visa extension.
THE PACKAGE
Casual Role
- Monday–Friday: $36.81 per hour
- Saturday: $44.18 per hour
- Sunday: $51.54 per hour
- Split shifts
- FREE accommodation – own room in a shared staff house
- Cooking facilities available in the staff house
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll play an significant role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and ensuring meals are prepared to a consistently high standard.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with food preparation and cooking
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
- Taking responsibility for the kitchen on the Head Chef’s days off
- Working collaboratively within a close-knit team
- Following direction and contributing positively to the kitchen operation
- Completing other kitchen duties as required

- Has a genuine appreciation for the outdoors and remote living
