A new luxury lodge and restaurant will open later this year in the Central Coast hinterland, around an hour north of Sydney - and the kitchen is a blank page.
We're looking for a Head Chef to help write it.

Years in the making and backed by serious investment, the project has ambitious plans to establish itself among the best regional restaurants in NSW.

As Head Chef, you'll work alongside an experienced Executive Chef, with the menu being developed alongside one of Sydney's most awarded chefs.

This is a genuine partnership, with real input into the food, kitchen and operation.

The Cooking Fire sits at the heart of the kitchen.
Wood and flame will be used across whole fish, whole animals and vegetables grown in the on-site kitchen garden. Proteins arrive whole to be broken down in-house, with the cooking grounded in classical technique, seasonality and exceptional Australian produce.
Experience with fire is an advantage, but training will be provided.
The Kitchen Brand current, purpose-built and ready for you to make your mark, featuring:

- Open fire and wood oven
- Combi ovens and extensive cold storage
- Dedicated dry stores
- Pastry room with laminator
- Wood-fired bread oven
- On-site kitchen garden

The Operation The restaurant operates seven days across two formats:

- Thursday–Sunday: open to the public
- Sunday evening–Wednesday:



refined dining exclusively for lodge guests

About You:

You'll have 3–4+ years in hatted or equivalent kitchens, with experience running a section, leading a team or driving service at a high standard.
This could suit a Senior Sous Chef ready to step up, or an established Head Chef seeking greater creative ownership.

You'll be expected to:

- Lead calmly under pressure
- Maintain high standards of execution and presentation
- Develop and mentor junior chefs
- Establish strong kitchen systems and culture
- Contribute creatively to the menu
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef
