About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (Grade 2) for a temporary contract placement in Portland, VIC. This is an ASAP start running through to 6 November 2026, working 4 to 5 days per week (up to 76 hours per fortnight). You will manage a generalist occupational therapy caseload treating a diverse range of conditions across various patient demographics, working across both inpatient wards and community settings within a supportive multidisciplinary allied health team. This role requires adaptability and broad expertise, with the clinician working as a sole practitioner on occasion.
- Manage an inpatient general medicine and orthopaedic caseload
- Deliver community outpatient clinics, in particular aged care services
- Work with and delegate tasks to Allied Health Assistants
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, analysis and treatment for individuals and groups
- Work across both ward and community settings, including sole practitioner duties as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Perks:
- $76 per hour + superannuation
- ASAP start, contract through to 6 November 2026

- Travel costs covered, capped at $200 total to and from placement

About You:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Post graduate clinical qualification(s) in specialty area of practice
- Minimum 5 years' experience (essential)
- Demonstrated experience across both ward and community settings (essential)
- Extensive clinical knowledge, skills and leadership experience in occupational therapy
- Advanced clinical assessment and analysis skills with ability to implement treatments for individuals and groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of relevant accreditation and funding systems
- Computer literacy including organisational IT systems and emerging technologies
- Understanding of the needs and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds
- Understanding of the opportunities and challenges of rural healthcare delivery
- Current valid C class Victorian driver's licence
- Current Police Check (issued within 12 months) and Working with Children Check
- Current evidence of immunisation history and/or serology results
- Eligible to work in Australia
