About the Role
Based in our Newcastle office, this full time position plays a key role in supporting employee wellbeing, recovery and workplace participation across the organisation.
Working closely with employees, leaders, insurers, rehabilitation providers and health professionals, you'll coordinate injury management and return-to-work programs while contributing to workplace wellbeing and psychosocial safety initiatives that help create a healthy, safe and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims, injury management plans and return-to-work programs to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes.
- Act as the primary contact for workers compensation and injury management matters
- Maintain regular communication with injured employees to support positive recovery outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to leaders on injury management, workplace adjustments and return to work obligations.
- Identify opportunities to improve recovery at work processes and employee wellbeing initiatives.
- Support the development and delivery of workplace wellbeing, psychosocial safety and early intervention initiatives.
- Partner with employees, leaders, insurers, rehabilitation providers and medical practitioners to support positive wellbeing and recovery outcomes.
- Coordinate workplace wellbeing programs, campaigns and education activities
You will bring:
- Experience in workers' compensation, injury management, rehabilitation and/or return-to-work coordination.
- Knowledge of injury management principles, workers' compensation legislation and best practice recovery-at-work approaches.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience supporting workplace wellbeing, psychological health or psychosocial safety initiatives will be highly regarded.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A professional, empathetic and solution-focused approach when managing sensitive matters.
Qualifications in Human Resources, Work Health & Safety, Rehabilitation, Injury Management, Psychology, Health Sciences or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
