The firm provides accounting, taxation, business advisory, lending and financial planning services to a diverse client base. Continued growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant, Senior Accountant or Client Manager to join the firm’s Business Services and Tax team.

Senior Accountant

Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia |Full Time- Office-Based

About the Role
This varied, client-focused role combines business services, taxation, compliance and advisory work across a diverse portfolio of SMEs, family businesses, investors and individuals.
You will work directly with clients and business owners, take ownership of your work and receive support from experienced accountants and senior leadership. As you develop within the firm,



you will have the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio and progress toward a Client Manager or more senior role.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a range of business structures and individuals.
- Working across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, with exposure to varied client circumstances and compliance needs.
- Preparing and reviewing business activity statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client lodgement requirements.
- Assisting with tax planning and practical business advisory matters for SME and family-business clients.

About You
You’ll suit this opportunity if you’re an experienced public practice accountant who enjoys working closely with clients, taking ownership of your work and being part of a qualified but down-to-earth team.
We’re looking for someone who brings a solid grounding in Australian public practice, strong technical capability and the confidence to build trusted client relationships.

- Around four or more years of Australian public practice experience.
- Strong experience preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for a range of clients.




- Sound knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
- Confidence communicating with clients and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience using Xero, with Xero Practice Manager experience highly regarded.

CA or CPA qualification, or progress toward completion, will be highly regarded, but attitude, client focus and the ability to contribute in a busy public practice environment are just as important.
