The Family:
This fun and loving family is seeking a mature, caring and reliable live-in nanny to support their two children, aged 10 and 12, when their parents are required to work away.
The family values a positive, happy and supportive home environment. They are looking for someone who can become a trusted and consistent part of the children's lives and provide them with care, guidance and stability when their parents are away.
Days, Hours, Start Date & Remuneration:
- One week per month: Wednesday – Wednesday, providing 24/7 care
- Both children attend school during the week
- School drop-offs and pick-ups required
- Family vehicle provided
- $2,000–$2,600 per month, depending on experience
- Start: ASAP
- Long-term position
- Live-in accommodation provided
The Role:
- Providing care and supervision for two children aged 10 and 12
- Managing morning and after-school routines
- Driving the children to and from school
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Supporting homework and school routines
- Ensuring the children are safe, happy and well cared for
- Maintaining consistent routines and boundaries
- Supporting the children with activities and commitments
- Light household duties relating to the children
- Providing overnight care during the parents' work-away week
- Being a positive, caring and dependable presence in the children's lives
The Ideal Nanny:
The family is seeking someone with a positive attitude who is kind,
caring and genuinely enjoys working with children.
The ideal candidate will be confident maintaining routines and boundaries while providing a warm and nurturing environment. Someone who is willing to become a trusted part of the family and care for the children with the same level of love, attention and responsibility they would give their own children.
Maturity, reliability and a genuine commitment to the role are a must.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous nannying or childcare experience
- Experience caring for school-aged children
- Full driver's licence
- Confident driving children
- Organised, reliable and responsible
- Positive and caring personality
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working independently
- Mature approach to childcare and family life
- Seeking a genuine long-term commitment
- Hold a valid First Aid and CPR
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check
- Hold a valid National Police Check
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children
Additional Notes:
- Private bedroom provided within the family home
- Shared bathroom
- Family vehicle provided for school and child-related activities
- No pets
- One week each month will involve 24/7 responsibility from Wednesday to Wednesday
- Long-term commitment is very key to the family
- ASAP start for the right candidate
- Monthly remuneration will be determined based on experience and suitability for the role
