As our telecommunications project workload continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Telecommunications Network Engineer to join our team.

About the Role
The Telecommunications Network Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, configuration and ongoing performance of telecommunications networks used across AAG Infrastructure’s projects.

You will work closely with project managers, telecommunications technicians, network planners, field crews, contractors and clients to ensure telecommunications infrastructure is designed and delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with technical requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Plan and design telecommunications network infrastructure for recent and existing projects.
- Prepare and review network plans, technical drawings, specifications and related engineering documentation.
- Determine appropriate network configurations, equipment and technical requirements for each project.
- Assess telecommunications network requirements based on site conditions, client needs and project specifications.
- Review existing network infrastructure and identify faults, performance issues and areas for improvement.
- Monitor network performance, capacity and reliability and recommend upgrades or changes where required.
- Develop solutions to improve network performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate the installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of telecommunications network equipment.




- Ensure new telecommunications equipment and systems integrate correctly with existing network infrastructure.
- Assist with the planning and development of new telecommunications sites and network connections.
- Prepare technical recommendations for network upgrades, equipment changes and system improvements.
- Assess telecommunications products, equipment and services and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot network and telecommunications system issues and provide technical solutions.
- Work closely with project managers, telecommunications technicians, network planners, contractors and field teams during project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance to field teams during the installation and commissioning of telecommunications infrastructure.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders regarding network requirements and technical issues.
- Ensure telecommunications works comply with relevant technical standards, client requirements, safety requirements and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate technical records, network documentation and project reports.

Skills and Experience:

- A Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a closely related field.
- Relevant professional experience in telecommunications network engineering or a similar role.
