The Role

Reporting to the Director of Plumbing & Electrical, the Business Development Manager is responsible for sourcing and securing recent franchise member opportunities within the Laser Plumbing & Electrical Australian network. With a primary focus on new franchise member growth, this role will identify opportunities, build meaningful relationships with established trade businesses, and promote the value of joining Laser’s locally owned and nationally supported network. Key responsibilities include:

Identifying and implementing prospect acquisition strategies for lead generation

Creating and implement structured plans to achieve set targets

Undertake cold calling & prospect meetings, ensuring that contact targets are regularly met

Successfully manage the acquisition process: lead generation, solution pitch, relationship expansion, negotiation & close

What we are looking for

This exciting opportunity is a true hunter-style Business Development Manager role, focused on proactively identifying, pursuing and converting new franchise member opportunities across Australia. You will be expected to build a strong pipeline from the ground up, engage established plumbing and electrical business owners, and confidently lead prospects through the full acquisition journey, from first contact to close.

Demonstrated experience in a sales manager or BDM position, with a focus on current business growth





Proven success identifying and implementing prospect acquisition strategies for lead generation

Highly developed relationship building and engagement abilities
