Aboutthe role

The Civil Maintenance Unitwithin City Works is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of civilinfrastructure assets within the drainage, road & footpath networksthroughout the municipality.

The primary objectives of theposition are:

- Maintainthe City by undertaking labouring duties and operating CivilMaintenance plant and equipment and undertaking a range of associatedtasks in a secure, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Assist in the training of other CivilMaintenance team members or Agency staff as required.

Aboutyou





Tobe successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding:

- Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction/LocalGovernment or related industry based training course or significant relevant experience in the Civil Maintenance industry,
- Demonstrated ability to operate a range of morecomplex Civil Maintenance plant and equipment in a safe and efficient mannerincluding undertaking routine daily maintenance of minor plant and equipment,
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively anddiligently both independently and in a team environment including supervising /coordinating and providing on the job training to other staff in order to meetdesired service outcomes,
- Demonstrated high levels of reliability andpunctuality working on a roster system along with a preparedness to work inadverse weather conditions,
- Current Victorian Heavy Rigid class Drivers Licence(or acceptable equivalent) and a certificate of competency for a relevant itemof plant, preferably along with a Spotter Certificate and/or ConstructionInduction (white card).
