We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Boilermaker to join our team at our Mackay Workshop on a full-time permanent basis.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, repair and maintenance activities on a range of heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out fabrication, repairs and maintenance to heavy mining and earthmoving equipment

- Assisting with the proactive identification of repair and maintenance requirements

- Performing scheduled preventative and routine maintenance

- Completing structural repairs, modifications and general fabrication work to a high standard

- Working safely and efficiently to minimise equipment downtime

- Following all relevant safety procedures, risk assessments, SOPs, work instructions and permit requirements





- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment

- Ensuring all work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timeframes

- Working collaboratively with the maintenance and workshop teams

- Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Australian Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker

- Previous experience working with heavy earthmoving or mining equipment

- Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment

- Experience with fabrication and structural repairs

- Highly desirable experience repairing and maintaining:

- Excavator and loader buckets

- Heavy equipment bodies and chassis

- Dozer blades, including re-skinning

- Other large-scale mining and earthmoving equipment

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- HR Licence desirable

- Working at Heights certification desirable

- Confined Space certification desirable

- EWP, Forklift and Dogging/Rigging tickets highly desirable

- Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and the setting

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team

- A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality workmanship
