About The Role
Are you passionate about supporting children, young people and families through some of life's most challenging moments? Join a agile, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering meaningful mental health outcomes for young people across the ACT. As part of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) within MHJHADS, you'll play a critical role in helping children and adolescents access the right care at the right time. Working in a collaborative and recovery-focused environment, you'll provide timely assessments, clinical interventions, risk management and referral coordination for young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges.
You'll work alongside experienced mental health professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This role offers the opportunity to build strong partnerships with young people, families, carers, schools and community services while contributing to innovative and responsive models of care. You will be supported through ongoing professional development, regular clinical supervision and a culture that values learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.
We're looking for a clinician with strong assessment and clinical decision‑making skills who is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people. You'll thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, bring a flexible and adaptable approach to your work,
and be confident managing competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of care. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about recovery‑oriented practice and making a genuine difference in the lives of young people and their families.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded public mental health service where your expertise will be valued, your development supported, and your work will have a lasting impact on the community.
A merit pool may be created from this recruitment process and remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill both permanent and temporary positions across CHS.
