This organization's recognised globally as a market leader in the design and manufacture of specialised construction equipment. With a strong international reputation, proven product range and continued growth within the Australian market, they provide their people with the opportunity to work around highly specialised equipment backed by a global organisation. As the business continues to grow, an opportunity is now available for an experienced Auto Electrician to join the team in a quality control and equipment testing capacity.
The Position
This is not your standard Auto Electrician role, the primary responsibility will be the final testing, inspection and quality control of new construction, mining and underground equipment prior to delivery to customers. The position will include:
- Functional testing of newly built construction equipment
- Testing electrical systems, controls, sensors and associated components
- Operating equipment through its various functions as part of the testing process
- Identifying electrical, operational or functional faults
- Diagnosing and rectifying issues identified during testing
- Completing final quality and pre-delivery inspections
- Working closely with technical and workshop teams to resolve faults
- Ensuring equipment is fully operational and ready for customer delivery
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will be a qualified and experienced Auto Electrician who understands heavy equipment and enjoys fault finding, diagnostics and technical problem solving.

- Previous experience working with heavy, construction or mobile equipment
- Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
- Experience with electrical control systems, sensors and associated components
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- A methodical approach to testing and problem solving
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, Essential.
Experience specifically with construction equipment is not essential, however it's very highly regarded. More important is a strong electrical background and the ability and willingness to learn new equipment and expand existing knowledge.
On Offer
This is an opportunity to move away from the repetitive nature of traditional breakdown and repair work and into a specialised technical position working predominantly with recent equipment. You'll be joining a growing organisation representing one of the world's leading names in construction equipment and technology. As this organization continues to expand, there will be genuine opportunities to further develop your technical knowledge, take on additional responsibility and grow your career within the business. In relation to renumeration, rates from $55 - $62per hour with penalties and super.
