- Design and build scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse and OneLake capabilities.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and related services.
- Build robust dimensional and analytical data models that support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
- Develop and optimise Power BI semantic models, reports and dashboards using DAX and Power Query.
- Improve performance, reliability and maintainability across Fabric and Power BI workloads.
- Implement appropriate security, Row-Level Security (RLS), access controls and data governance practices.
- Support CI/CD, deployment pipelines, source control and environment promotion for data and BI assets.
- Work with business stakeholders and analysts to translate reporting and analytics requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex data, model, refresh and performance issues across the Microsoft data stack.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and delivery leads to align solutions with the broader data-platform direction.
- Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of data engineering / BI experience with strong recent hands-on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI capability.
- Strong Microsoft Fabric experience across Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Factory/Pipelines and semantic models.
- Advanced Power BI development experience including DAX, Power Query,
data modelling and performance optimisation.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience with data transformation and dimensional modelling.
- Experience designing and operating enterprise-grade data pipelines and analytics solutions.
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure data services and integration patterns.
- Experience implementing security, governance, RLS and controlled access to analytical data.
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD and deployment practices for data and BI solutions.
- Ability to work independently on complex engineering tasks while collaborating effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Microsoft Fabric or Power BI certification.
- Experience with Fabric migrations or modernisation from legacy data platforms.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake.
- Experience with medallion architecture and up-to-date lakehouse design patterns.
- Experience working with enterprise data governance, lineage, monitoring and cost optimisation.
- Experience in construction, property or operational analytics environments.
