We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with strong technical accounting capability along with demonstrated people leadership and stakeholder engagement. You will be a senior professional who can contribute to our strategic priorities through effective financial leadership and have an eye for driving continuous improvement.

Our new site has brought together all Council operations under one roof, creating a dynamic, collaborative, and future-focused workplace. Located on a spacious 71-hectare site, the facility has been designed with staff wellbeing, sustainability, and operational excellence in mind. Rous hasan operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

- Remuneration from $116,095.20- $135,798p.a.Plus statutory superannuation currently 12% + $10,780 p.a. vehicle allowance

Your value proposition to us:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with CA, CPA professional credentials
- Demonstrated experience in a senior finance leadership role
- Expert knowledge of statutory and government reporting requirements
- You will be known for your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Hands on, proactive and commercially astute
- Committed to upholding and promoting the highest of health, safety and quality standards

Your average workday will be kept busy by:

- Providing sound financial advice and timely reports to the Leadership Team, Council, Audit,



Risk and Improvement Committee and external stakeholders as required
- Oversight and delivery of financial functions related to all aspects of accounting and statutory reporting
- Direct the annual budget process
- Monitor the financial performance of Council against key performance indicators
- Provide clear guidance to other line managers on a range of financial matters and provide options for resolving issues
- Ensure financial policies, controls and processes are robust, relevant and are operating efficiently, including compliance with all relevant Accounting Standards, relevant legislation, corporate objectives and internal controls framework
- Provide team leadership and coaching to develop staff capabilities and meet work objectives
