We are seeking a Sales Assistant to join the team at Clark Rubber Tweed heads. This is a casual position based in Tweed Heads NSW 2485. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales across our retail environment. You will be the face of our brand, helping customers find what they need whilst creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience that keeps them coming back.
What you’ll be doing
- Greeting customers warmly and assisting them in finding products that meet their needs
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale systems
- Maintaining product knowledge to provide informed recommendations and answer customer enquiries
- Stocking shelves and displays, ensuring merchandise is organised, well-presented and clearly priced
- Handling customer queries and complaints professionally, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Keeping the sales floor clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety standards
- Supporting promotional activities and participating in visual merchandising initiatives
- Working collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives
- Following company policies and procedures, including cash handling protocols and loss prevention measures

- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping others
- Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to build rapport with diverse customers
- A positive attitude, reliability and punctuality, even in a casual capacity
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and cash
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
- Prior retail or customer-facing experience is advantageous but not essential for enthusiastic candidates
- Willingness to learn about products and company policies
