Disability Support Worker – Toowoomba Queensland

We’re seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to assist participants with daily living, personal care, and community access in Toowoomba. You’ll support people living with mental illness, intellectual, or physical disabilities — helping them live independently and achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality support in line with participant care plans

- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility

- Support meal preparation, medication prompts, and household tasks

- Promote independent living skills and daily routine management

- Facilitate community access — attending appointments, recreational, and social activities

- Encourage positive behaviour support and emotional wellbeing





- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in line with NDIS standards

- Communicate effectively with participants, families, and allied health professionals

- Follow all safety, infection control, and privacy protocols

- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and respectful team workplace

Requirements

- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services (students welcome)

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Driver’s Licence (own vehicle with insurance preferred)

- WWCC/Blue Card, First Aid & CPR, and National Police Check

- COVID-19 vaccination in line with current health directives
