A permanent part-time accountant role (12–20 hours per week) in a boutique Chartered Accounting practice. You'll prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS for clients, with directors reviewing and taking care of client delivery. There is no client-facing responsibility in this role - no client emails, meetings or calls required.

You’ll work from the office for part of your week, wholly in-office during the initial probation period while building rapport, transitioning to a hybrid arrangement after that.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare financial statements for clients
- Prepare tax returns for clients
- Prepare BAS for clients
- Work with minimal oversight on technical accounting tasks

About you

- CAANZ qualification preferred (not mandatory)
- Prior experience in public practice accounting
- Intermediate or senior level public practice experience
- Comfortable preparing financial statements, tax returns and BAS with minimal oversight
- Wants meaningful, technically engaging work without the responsibility of managing client relationships
