Anglicare North Queensland Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join our Cairns and Tablelands Non-Family Based Care Teams. As part of the NFBC department, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our services to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. As a Senior Manager you will uphold values and lead with kindness, contribute to an inclusive just and productive organisational culture and be accountable for the performance of designated service clusters, projects and initiatives. You will ensure services are integrated, contemporary and compliant with legislative, contractual, quality assurance, risk management, cultural safety, safeguarding and reporting obligations. Your strategic capabilities, professional insights and practice wisdom will guide Team priorities, empower direct reports, strengthen operations and optimise service impact. You will lead multi-site Non-Family Based Care operations across the Cairns and Tablelands sub-regions of Far North Queensland; ensure our workforce is effectively resourced and that responsive, child centred and trauma informed care, practical support and appropriate supervision is provided for children and young people (including sibling groups) on child protection orders living in our 24/7 residential and supported independent living services.

- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services / Social Sciences or related discipline
- Extensive direct experience working in residential care, child safety and or family reunification
- Contemporary knowledge of the Non-Family Based Care sector and Child Safety system and associated legislation, licensing requirements, safeguarding obligations, contracted provider responsibilities and service standards
- Demonstrated capabilities in staff supervision, team development and incident management within 24/7 residential care, child safety and or family reunification environments
- Strong record of leading complex multi-site operations and managing budgets, facilities,



contract deliverables and implementing significant workforce recruitment, rostering, development and retention initiatives
- Advanced administration, data analysis and reporting skills and aptitude for using contemporary ICT equipment and systems
- Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation and advocacy skills combine with a genuine interest in providing quality care, creating opportunities and optimising outcomes for children and young people on child protection orders
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, reconciliation and closing the gap objectives and experience working with First Nations people, organisations and communities
- Evidence of qualifications
- Satisfactory outcome of a current (less than 3 months old) National Criminal History Check
- Blue Card (QLD working with children card)
- LCS2 (child safety screening check)
- QLD drivers' licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent
- Ability (and willingness) to participate in a rostered (shared) 24/7 On Call system
- Required to transport clients and or to visit clients in their place of residence or within another out of office setting
- Out of hours work may be required from time to time
- Ability (and willingness) to undertake local area / regional travel
