We are seeking an innovative, highly skilled and collaborative Head of Department - Industrial Design and Technologies to provide strategic and instructional leadership across the department and inspire a culture of excellence in teaching, learning and design. The successfulapplicant will lead the delivery of engaging, contemporary and industry-relevant programs across Industrial Design and Technologies, support staff to implement high-quality curriculum and assessment practices, and promote strong learning outcomes for all students. This is atemporary full-time position until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

The city of Warwick is located under two hours west from Brisbane on the Cunningham Highway. Travellers and commercial vehicles wanting to access western Queensland or the southern states pass through Warwick by the New England Highway or the Newell Highway. Stanthorpe is a 40 minute drive to the south and Toowoomba is one hour's drive to the north. So while Warwick is in the heart of a rural area it is not remote by Queensland standards

Your opportunity:

As Head of Department - Industrial Design and Technologies you will have a knowledge of Manual Arts, Home Economics and Digital Technologies.

- Governance and Resource Management: Apply relevant legislation and policies, particularly those relating to students and staff, and effectively manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
