ABOUT THE ROLE
At Vital Home Health Services, our Support Workers provide high-quality care and support to clients, helping them live independently, safely and with dignity in their own homes and communities.
We currently have a position available for experienced Care Workers to join our effective and highly dynamic team.
A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the clients with personal care support, including showering, toileting, and feeding assistance.
- Providing transportation and support for medical appointments, shopping, and social outings.
- Providing domestic assistance duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Building and maintaining strong, respectful and effective relationships with clients and their families
- Supporting clients to participate in their community and maintain their independence
- Reporting any concerns,
incidents or changes in a client's health and wellbeing through the appropriate channels and protocols
A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Smart Phone with Email access
- Current National Police Record Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Previous experience in aged care, disability, community care or a similar support role is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, respectful and client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
