St Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School invites passionate, collaborative and innovative educators to become part of our inaugural teaching team as we open our doors in January 2027.

Located in the growing Ferntree Ridge estate in Drouin, St Oscar Romero is a brand-new Catholic primary school and the 41st Catholic primary school within the Diocese of Sale. Opening with approximately 100 students, the school is expected to grow to around 350 students as the community continues to develop.

This is a rare opportunity to join a school from its very beginning—to help establish its culture, traditions and educational foundations, and create a learning community that will serve children and families for generations to come.

Stage One of the school is currently under construction and will provide contemporary administration and learning spaces, covered hard courts and an oval, creating an exciting environment in which to establish innovative teaching and learning.

Named after St Oscar Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador, our school draws inspiration from his enduring witness to faith, justice, compassion and service. His legacy inspires us to create a community grounded in dignity, inclusion, peace and a genuine commitment to the flourishing of every person.

Salary & Employment

The Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement is currently being negotiated and is expected to deliver salary parity with the forthcoming Victorian Government Schools Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA), together with competitive employment conditions.

Current classroom teacher salary range:
$79,589 – $118,063 plus superannuation.

Successful applicants will:

- Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or be eligible for registration.




- Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
- Demonstrate a commitment to child safety and the wellbeing of all students.
