About the role
Reporting to the Head of Construction, you will lead a small team of Project Managers and Site Managers while taking responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects. You will remain closely involved in the detail, overseeing complex, design-led architectural packages across commercial construction and fitout projects, from design coordination and fabrication through to site installation and completion.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and supporting Project Managers and Site Managers
- Overseeing projects from handover through to completion
- Programming, scheduling and resource planning
- Design, shop drawing and technical coordination
- Budget management, forecasting and variations
- Client, builder, architect and consultant liaison
- Coordinating fabrication, procurement and site installation
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers, WHS and project risk
- Resolving technical, commercial and site issues
- Driving projects to completion on time, on budget and to a high standard
About you
- Strong Senior Project Management or Construction Management experience
- Experience delivering technically detailed commercial projects
- Experience within specialist contracting, façade, glazing, architectural metalwork, structural steel, commercial interiors or fitout
- Solid commercial capability across budgets, forecasting, variations and project costs
- Experience leading or mentoring project and site teams
- Strong builder, client and consultant management skills
- A hands-on approach to project delivery
- A qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline will be well regarded.
This is a strong opportunity for a Senior PM seeking greater leadership responsibility, or an experienced Construction Manager who wants to remain close to project delivery.
