RN - Moranbah Hospital - Acute / Emergency

Moranbah Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Acute and Emergency Department on a six-week contract from 21 September to 1 November 2026. This is a Grade 5 position offering $55.65 to $70.82 per hour, with rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts across up to 80 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will bring strong emergency nursing skills and rural healthcare experience to a dynamic, fast-paced clinical workplace in regional Queensland.

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing with proven clinical competence in acute care settings
- Solid background in rural nursing practice and familiarity with rural healthcare delivery
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems, particularly ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted licence
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a high-acuity environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Previous experience working within Queensland Health or Mackay Hospital and Health Service
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
