Our client, a Federal Government department responsible for leading national policy and programs across climate, energy, environmental sustainability, natural resources, heritage, and water management, is seeking the experience of a Geospatial Data Specialist.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Acquire, transform, validate and manage spatial datasets to ensure data quality and integrity;
- Develop and support geospatial applications, mapping services and spatial analytics solutions;
- Translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose geospatial solutions;
- Apply data governance, security, privacy and quality requirements across geospatial platforms and datasets;
- Monitor, optimise and maintain geospatial systems to ensure reliable service delivery;
- Provide technical advice on geospatial technologies, standards and industry best practices;

Skills and Experience Required

- Demonstrated experience in geospatial data engineering, including the design, development and maintenance of geospatial data pipelines,



spatial databases and data integration solutions;
- Proven ability to acquire, transform, validate and manage spatial datasets, ensuring high standards of data quality, integrity and accessibility;
- Experience developing and supporting geospatial applications, mapping services and spatial analytics solutions using contemporary geospatial technologies and platforms;
- Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, information management, security, privacy and data quality principles, and their application within geospatial environments.
