About the Team

The Learning & Curriculum Unit (LCU) is responsible for enhancing teaching, curriculum, and assessment in alignment with quality standards and strategic direction.

The Education Portfolio leads the provision of a distinctive UTS education for staff and students, contributing to student success through quality teaching and engaging and innovative curricula.

About the Role

The Specialist, Curriculum Design will play a key role in supporting the Curriculum Transformation initiative at UTS. This position is responsible for facilitating collaborative curriculum design processes with faculty course teams, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and contemporary higher education practices. The role requires expertise in curriculum theory and design, and the ability to prepare high-quality guidance materials for academic teams.

If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:

- Facilitating CxT workshops to support course teams with curriculum mapping, alignment of learning outcomes, and secure assessment practices.
- Identifying and implementing curriculum enhancements, redesigning courses for future-focused and digital delivery while maintaining quality and integrity.
- Managing project timelines, deliverables,



and documentation to ensure successful delivery of curriculum transformation outcomes.
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to drive collaboration, engagement, and buy-in across course teams.
- Monitoring progress, share insights, and report on transformation activities to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

With examples, please outline within your Cover Letter, how you meet the following key selection criteria:

- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead collaborative curriculum design workshops.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical guidance.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and development within a higher education setting.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging diverse academic teams to achieve shared outcomes

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $111,740 - $123,611 pa (HEW 7)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on fixed term basis until December 2027 .
