Job Description
You’ll play a key role in keeping the City’s buildings safe, compliant and well maintained by leading a large portfolio of facility maintenance contracts. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll combine contract management, stakeholder engagement, budgeting and team leadership to deliver services that support our community every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage facility maintenance contracts and service agreements
- Lead procurement planning, scopes and schedules
- Monitor contractor performance, quality and compliance
- Coordinate inspections for safety and standards
- Manage budgets, expenditure and payment approvals
- Engage stakeholders, contractors and building users
- Lead and support facility maintenance officers
- Drive improvement across maintenance systems and processes
Position Description
Qualifications
We’re looking for an experienced facilities and contracts qualified who can lead complex service agreements,
build productive relationships and deliver practical outcomes. You’ll ideally bring:
- Five years’ facilities management experience
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience managing contractor performance and KPIs
- Budget management and reporting capability
- Knowledge of WHS and building compliance
- Confident stakeholder and vendor communication skills
- Team leadership and performance management experience
- Current driver’s licence and police clearance
