Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced (Administration Officer to join the Outpatient Services team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role

- Providing high quality general reception and telephoneansweringservices
- Registration of patients andreferrals
- Collating referralinformation
- Updating referral and appointmentinformation
- Allocation and maintenance of patientappointments
- Mailing of information (investigation requests, prescriptions, documents) topatients
- Mailing of CPF generated clinical appointment correspondence to external cliniciansand/orpractices
- Maintaining clinic supply of investigation request forms and outpatient clinicianstationary
- Liaise with patients/care givers to collect/provideinformation
- Maintaining patient enquiry form responses




- Work with the broader outpatient team and external providers to ensure the efficient and safe operations ofservice.
- SupportTelevideopatients using NH telehealth platform HealthDirect
- Rotate through a variety of shifts within the business hours of 8am – 5:30pm Monday toFriday
- Providing administrationcoveracross all Northern HealthCampuses.
- The Administration Officer is required to beadaptable, multi-skilled, patientfocusedand able touse ofa number of computersystems.
