The Opportunity

- Position: Registered Nurse – Grade 5
- Location: Mackay, QLD
- Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
- Contract dates: 24/08/2026 – 04/10/2026
- Working days: As per roster
- Working hours: Rotating 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts





About You

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with recent Coronary Care Unit experience and a strong background in cardiac nursing.

Mandatory Experience

- Previous Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience

Cardiac Experience – Highly Desirable Experience with:

- Continuous cardiac monitoring
- Haemodynamic monitoring
- ECG interpretation
- Caring for STEMI and NSTEMI patients
- Heart failure management
- Temporary pacing wires
- Inotropes
- Central lines
- Arterial lines
- Pre and post cardiac catheterisation patients, including femoral sheaths
- Non-invasive ventilation, including CPAP/BiPAP
- ieMR

Previous experience working in Australia, Queensland Health and/or Mackay HHS will be highly regarded.
