Catering Assistant | Snowy Mountains Grammar School

Location: Jindabyne, NSW

Trippas White Group is looking for a reliable, hands-on Catering Assistant to join our team at Snowy Mountains Grammar School in Jindabyne. This is a great prospect for someone who enjoys hospitality, likes being part of a close-knit team and isn't afraid to get stuck in. You'll work alongside our chefs and catering team to help keep the kitchen and dining operation running smoothly, from assisting with food preparation and service through to front-of-house duties, cleaning and kitchen support. Whether you already have hospitality experience or you're looking for an opportunity to build your skills, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to be part of the team.

Please note: Accommodation is not provided with this position. Applicants will need to have their own accommodation in or around the Jindabyne area.

What you'll be doing:

- Assisting our chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen duties
- Setting up and assisting with breakfast, lunch and dinner services
- Providing friendly front-of-house service to students, staff and guests
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting dining areas
- Dishwashing and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures




- Pitching in wherever needed to support the wider catering team

What we're looking for:

You don't need to be a career hospitality professional. We're looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Friendly and comfortable working around students, staff and guests
- Happy working as part of a team in a busy environment
- Willing to undertake a mix of kitchen, cleaning and customer-facing duties
- Able to take direction and use initiative
- Experienced in hospitality, kitchens, cafés or customer service – desirable, but not essential
- Willing to obtain any required food safety training
