The purpose of the role:

As Senior Product Manager for our Local Government Property & Rating product team, you'll own product development from discovery through to execution for a high-priority Enterprise segment, within a dedicated cross-functional team. You'll be accountable for building products that unlock real value for our Local Government customers, balancing evidence-based discovery with commercial outcomes, in a highly regulated, long-lived product setting.

The key accountabilities of the role:

- Develop and evolve a product roadmap that aligns with the broader product vision and strategy, balancing short-term wins with longer-term bets.
- Guide your team through discovery and prioritisation, ensuring the backlog reflects what delivers the most value for customers and the business.
- Translate complex Local Government regulatory and compliance processes into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Ensure the quality, usability, and reliability of what we ship meets customer and compliance expectations.
- Successfully bring new products and features to market, achieving their commercial growth objectives while improving CSAT and retention.

The key responsibilities of the role:





- Be the ‘voice of the customer’ - championing a customer-centric approach to product and design decision

making

- Build compelling value propositions that are attractive to the target segment, supporting customer

acquisition and larger deal sizes

- Conduct user research, working with product managers to run customer discovery workshops, gather

requirements and identifying opportunities

- Turn user insights into functional experiences that feel intuitive and intentional of all customer personas
- Anticipate implementation challenges, consulting relevant stakeholders to identify risks and tradeoffs and

able to justify a path forward

- Ability to influence across business verticals to achieve product objectives
- Lead the development planning process, engage in resourcing/capacity planning and review the scope

and priority of requirements with stakeholders

- Own the launch of new features and product launches end-to‑end, working closely with internal

stakeholders across senior leadership, Tech, Design, Marketing, Finance and Delivery

- Continuously measures product‑market fit, iterates over approach
- Own the outcome – defining success metrics and measurement, tying efforts towards delivering

business value, and managing GTM end‑to‑end

- Gather metrics to inform pricing strategy

The key requirements for the role:

- Leads product discovery - drives customer and market research by leading and coaching product managers to truly understand customers' problems and unmet needs, not just gathering requirements.
- Decisive prioritisation - able to make and justify trade‑off calls, and deliver iteratively within an Agile framework.
- Strong communication and analytical skills - bringing structure to complexity and influencing across teams.
- Deep Local Government domain knowledge,



with the ability to translate regulatory and compliance context into clear product direction..
- Commercial acumen and a growth mindset, with the ability to tie product decisions to business outcomes
- Strong problem‑solving ability – leveraging qualitative and quantitative analysisto drive data‑led decision making
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
- Product discovery best practice processes
- Understanding of UX design principles
- Minimum 5 years' experience driving the development of a B2B SaaS product across the product lifecycle.
- Digital product management experience in a Local Government setting or working on products that serve the Local Government market
- Experience in delivering customer product initiatives that have delivered strong commercial outcomes
