Overview of the Role
As an Animator at BRX, you’ll join a team of skilled and collaborative junior and senior animators producing high-quality motion work across social, digital out-of-home, broadcast and digital campaigns. You’ll be hands-on with 2D and 3D animation, comfortable working with tight deadlines and evolving creative requirements.
This role is an opportunity to create a diverse range of work for major Australian brands under the mentorship of a highly skilled team, including Animators, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters and Designers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Expertise & Craft
- Produce engaging and high-quality 2D and 3D animation that elevates storytelling across various formats.
- Execute advanced animation, video editing, and sound design aligned with creative direction.
- Ensure animation output is consistently refined, polished, and on-brand.
2. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with animation leads and broader agency teams to deliver outstanding work.
- Interpret briefs effectively and communicate progress and challenges clearly.
- Share feedback and collaborate openly within the team.
3. Growth & Leadership
- Take ownership of development through feedback and mentorship.
- Support junior animators where appropriate.
- Actively contribute ideas to improve team processes and quality.
4. Innovation
- Experiment with recent animation styles, tools, and technologies.
- Contribute creatively to elevate animation beyond the brief.
- Help keep BRX animation work at the forefront of innovation.
Experience & Skills
- Highly developed motion graphics skills and advanced understanding of animation and design principles.
- 1-2 years industry experience in a studio/agency environment.
- High level of knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop).
- Cinema 4D knowledge or equivalent 3D package.
- Interpreting storyboards and working collaboratively with creatives on developing them where needed.
- Natural problem solver who is solutions-driven when dealing with technical issues and difficult feedback.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate your projects clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders.
- Collaboration with the animation team and other creative teams in the agency.
- Exceptional time management skills and working to tight deadlines.
Desirable (But not-essential)
- Figma experience.
- Design and Storyboarding skills a plus.
Salary Range
Commensurate with experience, including superannuation and access to BRX’s employee benefits and learning programs.
