Assistant Accountant – Bayton Group

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team on a fulltime basis. This role supports the end-to-end accounting function across the Bayton Group and International Hotel Services, working closely with the CFO and wider finance team.

Skills & Experience

- Degree in Accounting with experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with ORACLE NetSuite is highly desirable
- Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Robust leadership capability and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation and finalisation of monthly and annual consolidated financial reports
- Manage daily financial operations,



including posting transfers and NAB Connect entries
- Support external auditors with year-end reporting and tax returns
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls
- Prepare monthly financial analysis and special reports
- Process A/P invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations for all entities
- Maintain and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, GL, accruals, prepayments, and asset registers
- Enter bank transactions and journals into the accounting system
- Prepare and lodge monthly BAS and subcontractor Payroll Tax for all entities
- Reconcile wages, Director credit cards, and intercompany loan accounts
- Liaise with subcontractors/vendors regarding invoice and payment queries
- Support other accounts team members and assist the CFO as required
