Based in Cloncurry, this Council-operated Early Learning Centre is entering an exciting new chapter, with a brand-recent purpose-built service due for completion at the end of 2026.
As Assistant
Director, you'll work alongside the Director to support the day-to-day operations of the service, lead and mentor educators, and help shape the future of early childhood education in the community. This is your chance to join a supportive team where your leadership will make a genuine difference to children, families and educators alike. What/'s on Offer - $100,000-$110,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) plus superannuation

- The opportunity to be part of an exciting current centre opening in late 2026 About the Role As the Assistant Director, you/'ll work in partnership with the Director to ensure the smooth operation of the service while fostering a positive, collaborative culture for educators, children and families.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the service
- Leading,
mentoring and inspiring a team of educators
- Supporting curriculum planning and quality educational programs
- Building strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
- Maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation
- Contributing to continuous improvement and quality outcomes across the service
- Assisting with administrative and operational responsibilities About You You'll be an experienced early childhood professional who enjoys leading by example and supporting others to thrive. To be successful, you/'ll have:
- An ACECQA-approved Diploma or Early Childhood teaching qualification
- Experience in a leadership or senior educator role within an early learning service
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and Early Years Learning Framework
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality outcomes for children and families
- Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain) Why Cloncurry?
