Our client is a specialist design consultancy delivering projects across defence, water, buildings, and transport. They offer structural engineering, temporary works, civil, forensic investigations, and project management services across several offices in Australia.
They are now seeking an experienced SeniorTemporary Works Engineer to join their growing team in either Sydney or Melbourne. This is an opportunity to be part of a privately-owned consultancy where you'll work on challenging infrastructure projects, collaborate with industry leaders, and enjoy a flexible and supportive work setting.

The Role:

As a Senior / Team Lead Temporary Works Engineer, you will:

- Lead and manage the design of complex temporary works, including falsework, formwork, scaffolding, and temporary bridge structures.
- Oversee a team of engineers, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance on best practices.
- Ensure designs comply with industry codes and safety standards.
- Engage directly with clients and contractors, managing key relationships and ensuring solutions are practical, safe, and cost-effective.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, design reports, and drawings.
- Advise on advanced construction methodologies and sequencing to optimise delivery outcomes.




- Provide oversight and support across multidisciplinary projects, contributing to strategic business growth.

About You:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years' experience in temporary works design and construction engineering, including leadership responsibilities.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (or close to achieving).
- Expertise in structural design tools such as Tekla Tedds, ClearCalcs, SkyCIV, and Beam 4.
- Strong understanding of formwork systems (ACROW, PAFILI, PERI, DOKA, LVL timber).
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and develop junior engineers.
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and negotiation skills.
