Global 24 Risk Management
Sydney
Role Overview The Associate Director, Security & Account Management – Advisory supports the delivery and growth of Global24's travel risk management, security advisory, and crisis support services across Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region.
Based anywhere in Australia, the role combines advisory delivery, account management, client engagement, and business development, working closely with existing clients while helping identify and develop new relationships and opportunities.
The position forms part of a team of globally located professionals, reporting directly to the CEO, with a functional operational reporting line to the Managing Director – Advisory. The role will have supervisory responsibilities for 2-3 staff, who will support the successful applicant with administration and analysis support.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Risk & Advisory
- Deliver and support travel risk management programs for regional and global clients.
- Provide guidance across the full travel lifecycle: pre-travel, during travel, and post-travel.
- Support travel risk assessments, country and location-specific risk analysis, intelligence reporting, policy reviews, executive briefings, crisis management, and duty of care programs.
- Coordinate advisory requirements with Global24's 24/7 assistance and operational capabilities, including incident response, medical and security assistance, evacuation, and traveller support.
Account Management & Client Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, acting as a trusted and accessible point of contact.
- Understand client requirements, emerging risks, and business priorities to identify opportunities to strengthen existing services.
- Engage regularly with clients, partners, and service providers to maintain strong relationships and effective service delivery.
- Support client onboarding, account reviews, presentations, and ongoing service development.
Business Development & Network Development
Business development forms an important part of the role.
We are looking for someone who can use their existing and previous client relationships, professional networks, industry contacts, subject-matter expertise, and market knowledge to identify and introduce credible opportunities for Global24.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Identify potential opportunities through existing networks, previous engagements, professional circles, and day-to-day market activity.
- Introduce Global24 to relevant prospective clients and decision-makers and help initiate meaningful commercial conversations.
- Refer identified opportunities to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for commercial discussion, scoping, proposal development, and pricing.
- Contribute to strengthening the overall business development pipeline, client targeting, market engagement, and proposal development.
- Work collaboratively with the CCO and wider leadership team rather than operating as a standalone sales function.
Industry Engagement & Brand Development The successful candidate should be comfortable being an active and visible representative of Global24 within the Australian and wider APAC security and risk community.
This includes attending and engaging with ASIS, OSAC, and other relevant security, risk, travel risk, resilience, insurance, and corporate events, as well as meeting prospective clients, partners, and service providers.
The objective is to strengthen Global24's market presence and professional network, while also allowing the individual to continue developing their own industry relationships and profile.
Delivery & Collaboration
- Support high-quality and timely delivery of advisory projects across APAC.
- Work closely with Global24's assistance centres,
advisory professionals, commercial team, and global provider network.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, partners, and specialist service providers.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and client service.
Key Requirements
- Strong professional experience in travel risk management, security advisory, crisis management, account management, or related risk disciplines.
- Good understanding of travel risk, intelligence, crisis response, and assistance services.
- Strong client and account management capabilities, including confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
- An established professional network and the ability to identify, introduce, and develop credible business opportunities.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how relationships can be developed into qualified opportunities.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable representing Global24 at industry events and engaging with clients, prospective clients, partners, and service providers.
- Experience operating within Australia and preferably across the wider APAC region.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a globally distributed team.
- Willingness to travel across Australia and APAC as required.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and discretion.
- Relevant security, crisis and/or risk management qualifications and certifications would be highly regarded.
The Opportunity
This role is suited to an experienced security and risk professional who wants to combine advisory expertise, client account management, and commercial engagement.
It provides the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, manage and develop client relationships, bring recent opportunities into the business, expand an established professional network, and contribute directly to the continued growth of Global24's advisory capabilities across Australia and APAC.
