As Assistant Venue Manager, you'll work closely with the Venue Manager to lead daily operations, support and develop your team, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. We're looking for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about people, service and operational excellence.

About You

You're a natural leader who loves hospitality and understands that great venues are built on outstanding people and exceptional guest experiences.

You lead with energy, professionalism and a hands-on approach, creating a positive environment where both guests and team members feel valued.

You'll also bring:

- 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality
- Strong understanding of venue operations across food, beverage and guest service
- Knowledge of Victorian liquor licensing and compliance requirements
- Solid understanding of food safety, workplace health and safety, and hospitality legislation
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate high-performing teams
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Confidence managing service periods and making decisions under pressure
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to leadership
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

What You'll Be Doing

- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the venue to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence
- Leading from the floor and ensuring guests receive a consistently high-quality experience
- Acting as Manager on Duty when required and supporting the successful delivery of service across all areasBuilding strong relationships with guests and resolving feedback and concerns professionally
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, training and development of team members
- Supporting rostering, labour management and team performance initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, WHS and company standards
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and inventory management
- Working closely with kitchen, bar and floor teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Contributing to venue promotions, events, operational improvements and business performance initiatives
