A1 Mechanical is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our Cairns workshop.

We're looking for someone who understands the automotive industry and can confidently manage customers and workflow from booking through to vehicle collection.

The Role

Answering phones and managing bookings

Customer check-in and vehicle handover

Preparing estimates and invoices

Communicating technician findings and recommended repairs

Obtaining customer approvals

Ordering parts and liaising with suppliers

Keeping customers updated

Coordinating jobs with technicians

Processing payments and finalising completed jobs

About You

Automotive Service Advisor experience preferred

Valuable automotive/mechanical knowledge

Strong customer service and communication skills

Confident discussing repairs and maintenance with customers





Organised and able to manage multiple jobs

Parts ordering/interpretation experience advantageous

Workshop Software experience advantageous

This is more than a reception role. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the service desk, look after our customers and help keep the workshop productive and organised.

$35–$40 per hour + super, depending on experience.
