About the Role

As an Aviation Cleaner at Cairns Airport, you’ll play a vital role in creating safe, clean, and memorable travel experiences for passengers and visitors. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness throughout the airport, ensuring the environment is always welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:

- General cleaning tasks: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning spills

- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and toilets

- Emptying rubbish and recycling bins

- Operating cleaning equipment

- Ensuring cleanliness throughout the airport for a positive customer experience

About You:

- A team player who enjoys working with others

- Strong customer engagement skills and a positive attitude

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-traffic airport workplace

- Detail-oriented and committed to workplace health and safety

- Open to learning and growing in the cleaning industry

Essential Requirements:

- Ability to successfully pass a Criminal History Check, Drug and Alcohol Screening,



and Medical Assessments

- Ability to obtain an ASIC (Criminal History Clearance)

- Hold an unrestricted Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, Sundays and public holidays

- Strong work ethic and punctuality

Skills & Experience:

- High level of presentation and cleanliness

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physically fit and able to walk for extended periods

- Friendly, approachable, and happy disposition

- Previous supervisory experience will be highly regarded
