About The Role

We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help train and refine cutting-edge AI models on advanced scientific topics. Your deep domain expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex biochemistry — from protein folding to metabolic flux — making a real impact on the future of scientific AI.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience required.

What You'll Do

- Design Advanced Problems —
- Craft challenging biochemistry questions across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to stress-test AI performance
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions —
- Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning
- Audit AI Outputs —
- Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical reasoning for scientific accuracy and adherence to established standards
- Refine AI Reasoning —
- Identify logical errors such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied biological principles, and provide structured feedback to improve model performance
- Work Independently —




- Complete assignments asynchronously on a schedule that fits your life

Who You Are

- Holds a PhD (completed or near completion) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
- Deep foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics
- Able to communicate highly technical biological and chemical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- High attention to detail when reviewing complex chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols
- No prior AI experience required — your scientific expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic peer review
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
- Background in scientific writing or technical communication
