Role Description This full time Boilermaker role at Austwide Cranes is a hybrid position based in Loganholme, QLD, with some flexibility to work from home for suitable tasks such as planning and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include fabricating, welding, and repairing crane components and structural steel, following technical drawings and specifications.

The role involves using various welding techniques, preparing and assembling metal parts, and performing quality checks to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.



The Boilermaker will collaborate with technicians and engineers on installation and maintenance projects, contribute to continuous improvement of fabrication processes, and uphold strict safety procedures in workshop and onsite environments.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong welding skills, including Welding and TIG Welding.
- Candidates should possess skills in Oxy-acetylene work for cutting, heating, and welding operations.
- Candidates should possess Blueprint Reading skills for interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Candidates should possess Metal Fabrication skills for assembling, fitting, and finishing structural components.
- Relevant trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Metal Fabricator, or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial or heavy fabrication, ideally within crane or lifting equipment environments.
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices and the ability to follow safe work procedures.
- Effective communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
