Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy looking for a Building Designer with around 2–5 years' experience to join their Brisbane or Toowoomba team.
Why is this role different?
You're not joining a traditional architectural practice or design studio.
You'll work alongside Building Designers, Engineers and Project Managers, giving you exposure to the engineering and practical thinking behind good design.
You'll work across a diverse mix of industrial, agricultural, processing and commercial projects, ranging from approximately $2M to major developments of $700M+.
It's about creating designs that look good, work well and can actually be built.
You'll be involved in:
- Revit modelling and documentation
- Building design and detailing
- Design coordination
- Working alongside engineering disciplines
But you won't be expected to stay on the drawing board forever.
When your ready; you'll have the prospect to take on more responsibility, client interaction, project coordination and eventually project management.
About you
You'll ideally have
- 2–5 years' relevant experience
- Revit capability
- A Building Design, Architectural Technology or similar background
- A practical, problem-solving mindset
- A desire to learn and progress
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who's curious about how things actually work and how they're built.
