Role Description The Building Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Toowoomba City, QLD. This role involves developing building design concepts, preparing drawings and documentation, and coordinating design details for residential, education, health, hospitality, and commercial fit-out projects.

The Building

Designer will work with project teams to refine layouts, ensure structural and construction feasibility, and incorporate client feedback throughout the design process. Day-to-day tasks include producing design plans, liaising with consultants and contractors, supporting planning and approvals,



and ensuring designs meet relevant codes, standards, and project timelines.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Building Design and Architectural Design.
- Candidates should possess a sound understanding of Architecture and design principles.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Structural Engineering to support safe and efficient design solutions.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Construction processes and buildability considerations.
- Proficiency in design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM tools).
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Solid spatial planning, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and project stakeholders.
- A relevant qualification in Building Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Previous experience in residential, commercial, or interior-focused projects is highly regarded.
