Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Intelligence Consultant based in Geelong, VIC. The consultant will work with clients to understand business requirements, translate them into BI and analytics solutions, and design data models, dashboards, and reports that support strategic and operational decision-making. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data, implementing and optimizing ETL processes, maintaining data warehouses, and ensuring data integrity and performance.

The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to define key metrics, delivering clear visualizations, providing user training and documentation,



and continuously improving BI solutions based on feedback and evolving needs. The consultant is expected to work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with client goals.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into explicit business insights
- Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools to integrate and prepare data
- Proficiency in designing and building dashboards and data visualizations using modern BI platforms
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices for structuring data for reporting and analysis
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts, architectures, and performance optimization
- Ability to work on-site in Geelong, VIC and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with SQL and at least one major BI/analytics platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) is highly beneficial
- Background in consulting, professional services, or client-facing project work is an advantage
