Emmanuel Christian School is a co-educational, independent Kindergarten – Year 10 Christian school located on Hobart's Eastern Shore, with a current enrolment of 300 students.
Emmanuel is part of Christian Schools Tasmania (CST); an Association of Christians that owns and operates four Christian Schools in the Greater Hobart Area – Calvin Christian School, Channel Christian School, Emmanuel Christian School and Northern Christian School. Each school has a Principal who is responsible for the educational leadership and management of the school.

This leadership position supports the Principal and the Heads of School in shaping academic culture, driving excellence in teaching practice and leading innovation and enrichment in all student learning.

About You
It is expected that the successful applicant will bring a Christian worldview to this position and will participate fully in the spiritual life of the school.
The Head of Teaching and Learning is responsible for leading and overseeing the core functions of teaching and learning, including, but not limited to:
Classroom pedagogical practices and enhancingteacher instructionthrough a pedagogicalframework (Explicit Instruction).
Overseeing current version (ACv9) curriculum across P-10 including Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) within Kindergarten and the Minimum Schooling Guarantee (MSG).
Oversee and facilitate enrichmentthrough the schoolslearningenrichment program.
Collaboratewith the broader leadership team on the future direction and vision of the school under the leadership of the Principal.
Skills and Experience

A relevant teaching qualification.
Registration with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board (or ability to obtain).
Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (or ability to obtain).
Experience in a curriculum leadership role.
Evidence of the development of innovative practice that has resulted in high levels of student engagement and learning outcomes.
